BENJAMIN BLUEMCHEN | ANIMATED FEATURE

A BIG ADVENTURE

For this new adaptation of the classic “Benjamin the Elephant”, produced by WESTSIDE Filmproduktion in Co-Production with KIDDINX Studios, RAT PACK Filmproduktion and STUDIOCANAL Film, the main character Benjamin the Elephant has been created as virtual character by FBB Film. The 3D Elephant interacts with a lineup of the German star cast:  Heike Makatsch, Friedrich von Thun, Dieter Hallervorden, Uwe Ochsenknecht , Tim-Oliver Schultz, Liane Forestierei and -last but not least – the great “Otto” – Manuel Santos Gelke.

In the 1,800 shots large animation project, the 3D character Benjamin Blümchen and the virtual zoo world from FBB Film were integrated and merged with live action scenes. The use of green screen sets and motion capture with a stand-in actor enabled Benjamin to interact with his real acting friends.

MAGICAL IRELAND

…some of the ingredients going into the exciting children’s fanatasy adventure “The Legend of Longwood”. The story follows the adventures of MICKEY MILLER, a single minded young American girl who is dragged from the bustle of New York City to a remote corner of Ireland where she finds the people swamped by the curse of a Black Knight seeking redemption. It is Mickey’s destiny to free these people from this curse and in doing so she goes on a thrilling adventure of mysterious happenings and challenging feats where she must overcome ruthless enemies as well as her own denial about her past.

FBB Film created all VFX shots including fire and smoke sequences as well as tackling very challenging tracking shots in this exciting Dutch-Irish-German Coproduction.
Starting with classic wire removal and tracking, FBB Film prepared and enhanced many of the shots with matte paintings, roto and paint fixes.Raising the bar in digital tracking, our studio developed techniques to solve tracking, moving and folding paper with challenging onset footage. The design choices for the title sequence used elements of digital cloth simulation and compositing which echoed the story’s plot points.

Digital Showroom

The Audi City showrooms stand for a holistic Brand Experience, presenting the product range of the German car manufacturer in flagship cyberstores within the hearts of five international capitals.

Audi was looking for a fresh and state-of-the-art digital presentation of the Audi brand as well its complete product range. The challenge was to conceptualize and create an immersive, kinesthetic room concept by offering points of interaction with the virtual Audi cars.

As a partner in the project team, FBB Brands was responsible to create the entire communication and interactive concept as well as to produce the filmic and audio-visual content for the prototype of Audi City showrooms.
