BENJAMIN BLUEMCHEN | ANIMATED FEATURE

A BIG ADVENTURE

For this new adaptation of the classic “Benjamin the Elephant”, produced by WESTSIDE Filmproduktion in Co-Production with KIDDINX Studios, RAT PACK Filmproduktion and STUDIOCANAL Film, the main character Benjamin the Elephant has been created as virtual character by FBB Film. The 3D Elephant interacts with a lineup of the German star cast:  Heike Makatsch, Friedrich von Thun, Dieter Hallervorden, Uwe Ochsenknecht , Tim-Oliver Schultz, Liane Forestierei and -last but not least – the great “Otto” – Manuel Santos Gelke.

In the 1,800 shots large animation project, the 3D character Benjamin Blümchen and the virtual zoo world from FBB Film were integrated and merged with live action scenes. The use of green screen sets and motion capture with a stand-in actor enabled Benjamin to interact with his real acting friends.
