BENJAMIN BLUEMCHEN | ANIMATED FEATURE
For this new adaptation of the classic “Benjamin the Elephant”, produced by WESTSIDE Filmproduktion in Co-Production with KIDDINX Studios, RAT PACK Filmproduktion and STUDIOCANAL Film, the main character Benjamin the Elephant has been created as virtual character by FBB Film. The 3D Elephant interacts with a lineup of the German star cast: Heike Makatsch, Friedrich von Thun, Dieter Hallervorden, Uwe Ochsenknecht , Tim-Oliver Schultz, Liane Forestierei and -last but not least – the great “Otto” – Manuel Santos Gelke.
In the 1,800 shots large animation project, the 3D character Benjamin Blümchen and the virtual zoo world from FBB Film were integrated and merged with live action scenes. The use of green screen sets and motion capture with a stand-in actor enabled Benjamin to interact with his real acting friends.
BENJAMIN BLUEMCHEN | SETDESIGN
FBB Film created the he movie’s locations – the zoo of Neustadt with all vivariums, buildings and interiors in full CGI and with the help of photogrammetry technology. As an external location, the team scanned and rebuilt a complete container harbour.

THE MIDWIFE II | TV FEATURE FILM
The plot of “The Midwife II” takes place a few years after the first film and draws Gesa even deeper into the world of medicine and its sometimes gruesome historical development. Focal point is the old General Hospital in Vienna, the origins of which date back to 1693 and which today exists in a modified form. For the purposes of the film, the Disability Wing in Prague was transformed by means of elaborate props in the time-honored Viennese hospital.
FBB built the entirely computer generated historic city of Vienna of 1800, developed opium dream sequences, and designed the title sequence. VFX work included computer-generated set extensions with green screens, day/ night match-cuts, matte paintings, CGI city establishers, CGI hospital buildings amongst others.
